Coldplay’s much-awaited concert in Mumbai took place at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. As the band kickstarted the India leg of their Music of the Spheres World Tour, frontman Chris Martin’s Hindi stole the show.

The atmosphere on Day 1 of Coldplay’s concert in Mumbai was electric. Chris Martin left fans cheering as he interacted with the audience in Hindi. He said, “Aap sabka bohot swagat hai. Mumbai mein aakar humein bohot Khushi ho rahi hai.”

Chris continued, “We are so happy to be here. This is our first real show in India. So, thank you. Namaste.”

He also read out posters held up by fans including one that read “Jai Shri Ram”.

Earlier, Chris Martin was spotted at Mumbai’s iconic Marine Drive and Gateway of India. He was joined by his girlfriend, actress Dakota Johnson.

The two also visited Babulnath temple in Mumbai as well as Siddhivinayak temple along with actress Sonali Bendre.
