After his latest release Thandel received modest acclaim, Naga Chaitanya is back in action. The actor has turned focus on to his next film NC24, and this time, he would tread unchartered territory.  Known for his interesting choice of roles and scripts, Naga Chaitanya is teaming up with director Karthik Dandu, who enthralled the audiences with his debut supernatural thriller Virupaksha. Together, they are crafting a mythical thriller, which promises to be a cinematic spectacle. The filmmakers dropped a special video titled NC24 – The Excavation Begins, offering a glimpse of what went on behind-the-scenes during the groundwork that set the film going.

From years of conceptual ideation to months of exhaustive pre-production and days of gruelling rehearsals, the video reveals the blood, sweat, and brilliance powering this cinematic experience. The excavation has begun, and what lies beneath is a story waiting to shake the very foundations of myth and reality. The video also shows Naga Chaitanya’s makeover for the character. From physical transformation to a completely new style, Chay has plunged deep into the soul of his character—body, mind, and spirit.

On the whole, the video showcases the scaling and the magnitude of efforts that went into the pre-production of the film. With an interesting premise, NC24 is poised to be a landmark in the genre of mythical thrillers. Ajaneesh B Loknath provides the music, cinematography is handled by Neil D Cunha and Nagendra Tangala is the Production Designer.

The first glimpse of the intriguing poster of the film was released on Naga Chaitanya’s birthday. Buzz is that the mythic thriller also features rising talent Sparsh Shrivastava, known for Laapataa Ladies, in a key role. Recently, the actor’s team has rubbished reports that he would star in a political drama, Mayasabha, under director Deva Katta. The team clarified that the reports are false, and Chay would focus on NC24.
