Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are making some major real estate decisions. While they have decided to live on rent for two years, SRK and Gauri have also sold one of their premium properties in Mumbai. This move also comes after their decision to make renovations in their current abode, Mannat.

According to property registration documents reviewed by a significant real estate company, Gauri Khan has sold their property in Kohinoor Altissimo, a ready-to-move residential project in Dadar (West), Mumbai. The Khans had bought the property with Rs 8.5 crores and made a profit of 37% by selling it for Rs 11 crores. This development came after they shifted to Pali Hill temporarily.

SRK has leased four floors of Puja Casa. The building is owned by film producer Vashu Bhagnani’s children, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshika Deshmukh. While the new place isn’t as massive as Mannat, sources say it has enough space to accommodate his security team and staff. The actor is reportedly paying a combined monthly rent of Rs 24.15 lakhs for two luxurious duplex apartments in Mumbai. The security deposit is Rs 32.97 lakhs per apartment.

Shah Rukh Khan bought Mannat in 2001 for Rs 13 crores. He also owns five more properties in Delhi and Dubai. Opening up on Mannat’s emotional value, the actor had once noted that buying the property was one of the most difficult things that he had done. “It’s one of the most difficult things I’ve done in my life… is to buy this house. I don’t have a house anywhere in the world. I didn’t have a house because my parents died. I have house fetish. I want a house. I have always wanted a house,” he shared.
