Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is all set for his next OTT project titled Be Happy. If you liked his performance in I Want To Talk then there is a high chance that this film will impress you as it also revolves around a father-daughter bond. Helming the project is choreographer turned director Remo D’Souza who has previously directed films such as Street Dancer 3D and Race 3.
In Be Happy, the actor plays the role of Shiv, a doting single father. The film explores his bond with his young and intelligent daughter, Dhara played by Inayat Verma. Dhara dreams of becoming a dancer and performing on the biggest dance reality show but a crisis hits, crushing her dreams. Now it is up to her father to fulfil Dhara’s dreams. The film also stars Nora Fatehi, Nassar, Johny Lever and Harleen Sethi.
The poster shared by the makers shows Abhishek and Inayat sitting on a bed and looking at each other. In the room, we can see a lot of Nora Fatehi posters, hinting that her character is Dhara’s inspiration. We can also see sticky notes on the wall which have messages related to her love for dance such as “Just a Girl That Loves Dance” and “Let’s Dance.”
Speaking about the film, Remo D’Souza said, “For Lizelle and me, Be Happy is a true passion project–a deeply moving story that celebrates the special bond between a father and daughter through the magic of music and dance. It’s a relationship that’s universal and transcends cultures, and we wanted to bring that emotion to life in a way that feels both authentic and uplifting”.
Be Happy will premiere on Prime Video on March 14.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in Shoojit Sircar’s film I Want To Talk which revolved around Arjun Sen, a man with several life-threatening health conditions and his evolving bond with his daughter, played by Ahilya Bamroo.
