Chhaava becomes Vicky Kaushals highest-grossing film

Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna’s film Chhaava has turned out to be a massive crowd-puller in the theatres. The Laxman Utekar directorial was released on February 14 and is still soaring at the box office. It saw a massive opening and earned Rs 31 crore on its first day. It marked Vicky Kaushal’s career-best opening and has now crossed another landmark at the box office.
Chhaava’s Day 10 Box Office Collection

As per a report in Sacnilk.com, the period drama has become Vicky’s first Rs 300 crore film. It marked the actor’s highest-grossing release so far. On Day 10, it earned approximately Rs 40 crore taking the film’s net box office collection in India to Rs 326.75 crore. The worldwide collection stands at Rs 444.5 crore. With this, Chaava broke the record of Vicky’s Uri: The Surgical Strike, which was until now the actor’s highest-grossing film. The historical drama on Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj also earned the triple of Raazi’s lifetime collection. The film starred Alia Bhatt along with Kaushal.

Chhaava vs Mere Husband Ki Biwi

Chhaava is giving tough competition to the films that have been released recently. Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh’s Mere Husband Ki Biwi is struggling to pull the audience to the theatre. It was released on February 21st and earned Rs 1.5 crore.  Now, the Hindi net box office collection of the Mudassar Aziz’s directorial stands at Rs 4.31 crore.

Chhaava is the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Shivaji Maharaj’s son and the second ruler of the Maratha Confederacy. It follows his battle with the Mughal Empire to save the Maratha Empire. Vicky Kaushal plays the titular character while Rashmika Mandanna plays Queen Yesubai. Actor Akshaye Khanna has essayed the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
