Robert Pattinson is set to star in Mickey 17. Directed by the Oscar-winning South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho of Parasite fame, the film is a sci-fi drama that is equal parts bleak and hilarious. The film’s trailer is out now.

The trailer for Mickey 17 opens with Robert Pattinson’s Micky Barnes signing up to be an expendable on space missions as a part of humans’ effort to colonise a new planet. Mickey soon finds out that he has to repeatedly die and get re-printed as a part of his job.

Mickey dies multiple deaths before he realises there are more versions of him. The official description reads, “The unlikely hero, Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) has found himself in the extraordinary circumstance of working for an employer who demands the ultimate commitment to the job… to die, for a living.”

Mickey 17 also features Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo, among others. The film arrives in cinemas on March 7, 2025.
