Zahan Kapoor is currently making waves with his latest series Black Warrant. Created by Vikramaditya Motwane, the OTT series based on true events from the Tihar jail also features Rahul Bhat, Anurag Thakur, Sidhant Gupta and Paramvir Cheema in key roles. The show earned praise from many including Alia Bhatt and Hansal Mehta.

In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Zahan Kapoor spoke about Alia Bhatt and Hansal Mehta showering praise on the show and his performance. He shared, “Alia and Hansal sir were so sweet. It’s overwhelming. I don’t understand what to do with this love. It’s the reason why we actors do what we do. We want to connect with viewers in some way. We want to create some kind of impact and live through it. And then, when people reach out to you, it means they have been affected by it.”

He further added, “The idea that they were moved enough to express what they feel, or their appreciation is life-affirming and invigorating. It’s such a beautiful thing that I’m so grateful for.”

In Black Warrant, Zahan Kapoor plays Sunil Kumar Gupta, a jailer who is tasked with keeping the country’s largest prison facilities in check. The series is currently streaming on Netflix.
